A lot of Cloud Nine Higher content is about the Christian faith. Yeah, I know. Religion may not get you excited and psyched to read what I write.

Rest assured: This topic is not intended to embarrass or criticize but to inspire. Regardless of your faith, I hope that you will continue to follow Cloud Nine Higher.

It's Easter Sunday 2025. I've been to church with my mother and brother in Ashland City, Tennessee, and am awaiting a scrumptious Easter dinner prepared by Mom.

The following Bible verse is referenced on a banner at the church I attended today:

And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should.

This verse from the New Testament book of Colossians, written by the apostle Paul, expresses what I have considered as this Easter holiday approached.

The birth of Jesus Christ by Mary, a virgin, is a miracle and a mystery. The risen Jesus is a miracle and a mystery, as well. After being crucified on Friday and being buried in a tomb with a large stone over the entrance, Jesus could not be found by his closest followers on Sunday morning.

The book of Mark tells us that a young man dressed in a white robe alarmed Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome. These ladies brought spices to the tomb, intending to anoint Jesus' body.

The stone was rolled away. The young man broke the news that Jesus was no longer there because he arose from the dead.

The death of Christ was devastating to his apostles and disciples, who ran and scattered following his arrest. Peter, one of Jesus' closest apostles, denied publicly that he was associated with him. Judas, one of the apostles, betrayed Jesus. It led to his death.

In the aftermath of the crucifixion, the disciples locked the doors at a place where they gathered. They remained afraid of the Jewish leaders who had caused the arrest and crucifixion of Christ.

Jesus appeared to them. Fear soon turned into relief, amazement, and glorifying God for sending his one and only son.

I encourage you to consider the first Easter. It happened about 2000 years ago, but it impacts our view of eternity in this year of 2025 and beyond.

More to come soon.
